-- Davy Jones ("The Monkees") Makes a Cameo Appearance as Himself --

"It Ain't Over Till..." - Busby and Robert sign an act that brings Jimmy plenty of publicity - the wrong kind - on "Hitz" airing TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 2 (9:00-9:30 p.m. ET/PT), on UPN. Davy Jones makes a cameo appearance as himself.

The appearance of a famous record mogul on the cover of "Rolling Stone" magazine puts Jimmy in a rage. Why can't he get great publicity like that? Fuguring that the fault stems from he A&R department, he threaaaatens Busby and Robert with their jobs unless they land him a great act that can drum up even greater press for him. The boys scramble and, thanks to a hot tip from Neil the bartender, they sign a new emale act, Vanessa. Unfortunately, that's all Vanessa can do -- act, that is -- because she can't sing a note, which brings Jimmy plenty of publicity. Unfortunately, it's all bad.

Starring are Claude Brooks as Busby; Rick Gomez as Robert; Andrew "Dice" Clay as Jimmy [Esposito]; Kristin Dattilo as Angela; and Rosa Blasi as April. Also starring are Spencer Garrett as Tommy and Reno Wilson as Neil the bartender.

The episode was directed by Rob Schiller from a script by Executive Producers Tracy Gamble & Richard Vaczy.
