[Tower Image #301]
301 - 7/08/04 - 17:32
The support poles are now in place and the concrete poured.
[Tower Image #302]
302 - 7/08/04 - 22:18
Enlarged view. The inner portion of the Y arm is at the height at which it will be attached. This view directly north, from where I work.
[Tower Image #303]
303 - 7/08/04 - 22:20
Enlarged view. This view a little further west, while I was heading for the work site. The 2-D photos make it a little tough to see.
[Tower Image #304]
304 - 7/08/04 - 22:25
Enlarged view. This view directly from the west. While the position of the arm hasn't changed, the view gives a good view of the crew.
[Tower Image #305]
305 - 7/08/04 - 22:29
Enlarged view. Another view of the crew.
[Tower Image #306]
306 - 7/08/04 - 22:31
Enlarged view. A little closer, still directly from the west.
[Tower Image #307]
307 - 7/09/04 - 00:09
Enlarged view. This view almost directly underneath the tower. It is interesting because of the western setting sun sneaking through the clouds. I was enjoying the magnificent smoked ribs cooked by the Pegasus Tower owner, Cliff.
[Tower Image #308]
308 - 7/09/04 - 00:14
Enlarged view. Look to see one of the crew on the tower.
[Tower Image #309]
309 - 7/09/04 - 00:22
Enlarged view. Now one of the crew is on the arm. The problem with getting the arm into place so that it can get bolted is the highway that is north of the tower. If you look at the land plot drawing, you'll see a 4-lane highway. They couldn't get "trolly" lines into positions to help the positioning of the arm section. They needed to go out quite a distance. That won't be a problem with the arm on the south side.
[Tower Image #310]
310 - 7/09/04 - 00:39
Enlarged view. The arm is bolted into place enough so that they can quit for the night.
[Tower Image #311]
311 - 7/09/04 - 01:06
Coming on down for the night and hamming it up for the camera.
[Tower Image #312]
312 - 7/09/04 - 01:06
On the ground, two hours after normal quitting time.
[Tower Image #313]
313 - 7/09/04 - 01:23
Interesting lighting from the setting sun.
[Tower Image #314]
314 - 7/09/04 - 01:27
Ditto.
[Tower Image #315]
315 - 7/09/04 - 22:07
Enlarged view. The outside section of the Y arm is being moved into place. It is hard to see, as it is behind the existing arm section. This image, and the next two, were done with a X2 telephoto adapter lens. But this lens has lousy focus outside the immediate center. I won't be using it again.
[Tower Image #316]
316 - 7/09/04 - 22:09
Cropped view.
[Tower Image #317]
317 - 7/09/04 - 22:13
Cropped view.
[Tower Image #318]
318 - 7/10/04 - 16:43
Enlarged view taken from the vantage point of the Woodman's West gas station. A couple of guys are working on the area where the antenna will mount.
[Tower Image #319]
319 - 7/10/04 - 19:10
The inner section of the Z arm is being hoisted into place.
[Tower Image #320]
320 - 7/10/04 - 19:26
Enlarged view.
[Tower Image #321]
321 - 7/10/04 - 19:31
Enlarged view.
[Tower Image #322]
322 - 7/10/04 - 19:41
Enlarged view.
[Tower Image #323]
323 - 7/10/04 - 19:59
[Tower Image #324]
324 - 7/10/04 - 20:04
Enlarged view.
[Tower Image #325]
325 - 7/10/04 - 20:19
Enlarged view.
[Tower Image #326]
326 - 7/10/04 - 20:26
Enlarged view.
[Tower Image #327]
327 - 7/10/04 - 20:41
Enlarged view. The attachment of the section was easier, as they learned from yesterday and had more room for the "trolly" line.
[Tower Image #328]
328 - 7/10/04 - 21:22
Empty buckets being lowered.
[Tower Image #329]
329 - 7/10/04 - 21:43
The outside Z arm section is now being hoisted.

330 - 7/10/04 - 21:44
[Tower Image #331]

336 - 7/10/04 - 22:09
Enlarged view.
[Tower Image #337]
337 - 7/10/04 - 22:14
Enlarged view.
[Tower Image #338]
338 - 7/10/04 - 22:15
Enlarged view. Hudges is stuck on the ground, in this case hauling a gas container. Stupid story as to why he isn't up on the tower, which we won't go into here.
[Tower Image #339]
339 - 7/10/04 - 22:19
Enlarged view.
[Tower Image #340]

342 - 7/11/04 - 19:46
The temporary Ch 15 antenna.
[Tower Image #343]

The rain started so the troops had to come down.
