I HATE CBS SNIPES!

CBS JOINS THE ASSHOLE NETWORK LIST

On March 17th, CBS officially joined the asshole network list. Just look at those big ugly sprites. Like other networks, they treat the viewer as if s/he is an idiot by displaying the name of the show that the viewer already knows. They sure as Hell aren't doing it for the channel surfers. What are the odds of a channel surfer landing on that channel at that specific few seconds.

Obviously the idiots at CBS are taking lessons from their sister network, The CW.

At least they didn't place these damn sprites on the video during the next-to-possibly-last episode of Jericho. They get Brownie points for that, but earned Brownie points don't even come close to making things right with the idiotic huge sprites.

SIGH, CBS IS JUST PLAIN STUPID

First one is just plain assinine screen clutter. Put the crap for plugging one of your properties in a promo, don't put that crap on during the show.

The last two show just how stupid management can get. Here we are, watching the show on the local affiliate, in HD, via the affiliate's DTV channel. Yep, CBS has the balls to tell us that we are stupid and that DTV is coming next February. D'oh! We are already watching the DTV channel, you stupid frakin' idiots at CBS.

THE STUPIDITY JUST KEEPS ON COMIN'

During the show, all of this crap showed up. Of course, after each break, they had to remind us of the name of show that we know we are watching. How can these stupid fuckin' idiots think we don't know what we are watching? Obviously we are all dumb mindless idiots.

CBS HAS SUNK TO AN ALL-TIME LOW

The stupid fuckin' so-called executives (sue me, I'll prove it in court) have decided to join their sibling and place their damn bug in the 4:3 area.

They do not fucking care about their HD audience at all.

What makes these idiots look even more stupid (is that even possible?) is that the swirling snipe now cuts right through their damn bug. It was designed to go over the bug.

Stupid is as stupid does.

CBS HAS SUNK EVEN LOWER

I didn't think it was fucking possible, but the stupid idiots at CBS have sunk even lower than the assholes at NBC.

Those damn snipes aren't lower-thirds, they are lower-halves.

SNIPED and NON-SNIPED EXAMPLES

Here are examples with and without the horrible snipes. Gee, they look so much better without the snipes. Who would have thunk-it.

CBS HAS SUNK TO THE DEPTHS OF HELL

Notice how the assholes still don't believe that we still do not know what show we are watching. I was tipped off that CBS had changed their snipes for the worse. I haven't been watching CBS, as there isn't anything on I want to watch. It looks like I won't be watching the new season of Ghost Whisper because of this crap. I'll just wait for the Blu-ray discs to be released, if they release them. If not, so be it.

In any event, the first image shows the nasty image snipe. Worse is that the background is constantly shifting. Barf! The rest of the images show the "new" swirl, which still cuts right through the bug. From there it goes downhill. Notice that the bright spot actually creates lens flare in the main image and brightens most of the main image. Then there is that diagonal piece of crap that annoys even more. Not once, but twice. Tripple barf!

WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH CBS?

CBS can't get it through their thick skulls that what they are doing is just plain stupid. Even a friend of mine, who is more tolerant of snipes, is even annoyed by the CBS crap.

Now they've gotten even worse by having that first snipe eat up a lof of the screen. Plus the fucking thing is animated. This damn thing is the first snipe of the show and the last snipe of the show. The rest of the breaks use the horrible wave snipe.

I'll say it again, the CBS so-called-executives are stupid fucking assholes. They won't sue me, because they know I can prove it in court :-)

ONLY CBS KNOWS HOW TO FUCK UP A WET DREAM

Leave to CBS to totally fuck up one's concentration during an excellent episode of The Big Bang Theory by putting up a fucking snipe to sell Star Trek products.

They have hit an all-time low.
